I am a Catholic writer, speaker, and theology teacher whose work explores the spiritual consequences of modern life.

Drawing upon Catholic theology, history, literature, and fifteen years of classroom experience, I speak about the forces shaping contemporary Catholics: technology, therapeutic culture, social media, secularism, superstition, and the loss of moral language.

My presentations are serious without being inaccessible, intellectually grounded without becoming academic, and designed to leave audiences with a clearer understanding of both the present crisis and the Catholic response.

Confession in the Age of the Algorithm

Social media invites us to disclose ourselves before an audience, seek public affirmation, and construct identities through performance. The confessional offers something radically different: privacy, truth, mercy, and genuine absolution.

This presentation examines what digital culture reveals about the human desire to confess, and why only the sacrament can satisfy it.

This presentation considers why a post-Christian culture often becomes pagan rather than secular, and what the Church must recover in response.

Modern culture increasingly explains wrongdoing through trauma, dysfunction, diagnosis, and circumstance. These explanations may contain truth, but they can also obscure personal responsibility, repentance, and the reality of sin.

This talk explores the difference between explanation and excuse, the limits of therapeutic language, and the Catholic understanding of freedom, guilt, mercy, and redemption.
